How do First Class Supply comply with new GDPR 2018 Legislation:

We are committed to protecting your privacy and data.  We will use the information that we collect about you in accordance with the general data protection regulations 2018 and the privacy and electronic communications regulations 2003.

What information do we collect and how do we use it?

The Company is a recruitment business which provides work-finding services to its clients and work-seekers. The Company must process personal data (including sensitive personal data) so that it can provide these services – in doing so, the Company acts as a data controller.

You give us your personal information and work history either online or when completing an application form before a face to face interview.  We use your information to get you fully compliant and ready for education supply work.  We send your information such as C.V.’s and full compliance information (verification form) to schools in relation to providing you with work finding services with your permission.  We will contact you via email, telephone and text message. We do not send your data to any other third parties unless we are legally required to do so, such as submissions to HMRC.  We securely store all our data with Access Group Ltd who operate our software database.  Access to this data is strictly controlled.

We keep your details on our system to contact you with regards to future work and to enquire about your current situation even if you are working elsewhere.  We will do this automatically unless you ask us not to via the ‘my profile’ page on your online account or by emailing unsubscribe@firstclasssupply.co.uk.  We would then only store the data we are legally required to, such as historical payroll information which is currently required to be kept for 5 years.

Your rights:

Please be aware that you have the following data protection rights:

  • The right to be informed about the personal data the Company processes on you;
  • The right of access to the personal data the Company processes on you;
  • The right to rectification of your personal data;
  • The right to erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances;
  • The right to restrict processing of your personal data;
  • The right to data portability in certain circumstances;
  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data that was based on a public or legitimate interest;
  • The right not to be subjected to automated decision making and profiling; and
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time.

The Company will process your personal data and/or sensitive personal data with the following recipients:

  • Clients whom we may introduce or supply you to.
  • Former employers who we seek references from including other recruitment agencies who you may still be enrolled with.
  • Payroll service providers if applicable.
  • Any government body when legally required to do so.

The Company takes every precaution to protect our users information and is proud of our Cyber Essentials accreditation which measures the use of passwords, firewalls and limited access etc.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job for example your consultant or payroll department are granted access to your information.

The company uses all reasonable efforts to safeguard your personal information.  However, you should be aware that the use of email/the internet is not entirely secure and for this reason the Company cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information which is transferred from you or to you via email/the internet.

If you share a device with others we recommend that you do not select the ‘remember my details’ function when that option is offered.

We may change this privacy policy from time to time.  If we make any significant changes in the way we treat your personal information we will make this clear on our website or by contacting you directly.

Statutory/contractual requirement:

The Company has certain legal and contractual requirements to collect personal data (e.g. to comply with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, immigration and tax legislation, and in some circumstances safeguarding requirements.) Our clients may also require this personal data, and/or we may need your data to enter into a contract with you. If you do not give us personal data we would not be able to provide work finding services for you.

In some cases we may be required to use your data for the purpose of investigating, reporting and detecting crime and also to comply with laws that apply to us. We may also use your information during the course of internal audits to demonstrate our compliance with certain industry standards.
