Foundation fundraiser huge success!
As long term partners of the fantastic Newcastle United Foundation, we were thrilled and honoured to attend their Annual Fundraising Dinner on Tuesday, 1 November, as the main sponsors of the event. It was a truly inspirational evening, with many awards going to incredible individuals, all of whom richly deserved to be recognised for their achievements. Lesley and Steph were proud to present awards to two fantastic young people – a Rising Star award to Jake Durrant, and the Young Learner Award to Garry Wells for his outstanding hard work and commitment in one of the Foundation’s education programmes. It was fantastic to see the one and only Rafa Benitez at the event, together with Bob Moncur and so many first team players, who all gave up their evening to help raise funds for this amazing foundation. Congratulations again to all involved for a fantastic night, and a huge well done again to all the very worthy winners.
We have learned today that the total raised so far is an amazing £53,000!! What a fantastic amount – all of which will be a huge benefit to so many local schools and the whole community.
