First Class Supply Gender Pay Gap Report Published 16th March 2026
First Class Supply remains committed to promoting fairness and equal treatment for every member of our team, regardless of gender.
Pay decisions are based solely on objective factors such as an individual’s experience, qualifications, and the specific requirements of the role.
Our gender pay gap continues to be shaped by the structure of our workforce. As our quartile data below shows, our workforce is predominantly female, despite actively encouraging applications from all genders.
We receive far fewer applications from male teaching assistants than female teaching assistants. As a result, most teaching assistant assignments are carried out by women.
Teaching roles attract higher rates of pay than teaching assistant positions, so the distribution of men and women across these roles is the primary driver of our gender pay gap figures.
These patterns reflect wider sector influences, including the availability of qualified staff for different types of supply work and the varying requirements of schools.
First Class Supply is a female owned independent business supported by a highly skilled team of female recruitment consultants.
We remain confident that our gender pay gap is not the result of unequal pay for equal work, but rather the gender balance within the roles we specialise in.
