At First Class Supply we are committed to equal treatment of all employees regardless of their gender.
We provide employment on a supply basis in various education roles each with their own salary levels.
For example our employees undertaking Teaching work are paid a higher wage than our employees carrying out Teaching Assistant duties.
Therefore the ratio of Female to Male employees per role is a primary contributing factor to our gender pay gap calculations.
This is influenced by the availability of staff legally qualified for each role and the rate of demand from clients for each type of supply cover that we provide.
At First Class Supply we actively recruit employees irrespective of gender.
As you can see from our quartile data below our workforce is predominantly Female.
We consistently have less Male staff who register with us and comparatively a very low percentage are Teaching Assistants.
The result of this is the vast majority of Teaching Assistant work is carried out by Female employees, this impacts the average Female pay in comparison to the average Male pay.
First Class Supply is a Female run company with experienced Female recruitment consultants and we are confident that our gender pay gap is not caused by Men and Women being paid differently to do the same job.
As a company gender is never a factor when determining pay.
We consider employee experience level and the job specification, never a person’s gender.

- Women’s hourly rate is 9.20% lower (mean) and 13.61% lower (median)
- Upper hourly pay quarter has 25% men and 75% women
- Upper middle hourly pay quarter has 22% men and 78% women
- Lower middle hourly pay quarter has 27% men and 73% women
- Lower salary hourly pay quarter has 3% men and 97% women
- Women’s bonus pay is 1.51% higher (mean) and 6.59% higher (median)
- 0.74% of men and 1.33% of women received bonus pay
